Patio Cushions Review

Patio cushions are something in our everyday lives that we often neglect to see the beauty in. They are often seen and often forgotten. Without these cushions for our patio furniture, our summer lives would be much less fun and a lot less comfortable. We would be forced to sit in uncomfortable, hard plastic chairs while we tried to enjoy the beautiful summer weather. We would have to have horrible marks on our short-clad legs from the chair straps, uncovered by patio chair cushions, pressing into our skin. Worst off, we would have to deal with the pain of our skin pulling up when we got out of the patio chair on a hot, sticky summer day. Patio chairs are an essential part of a summer. So, where did these wonderful summer helpers come from? Good question!

Patio Cushions History

Patio cushions most likely came about many decades ago. Around the time when our world started to relax a bit, outdoor patio furniture came about. This was an invention that graced the homes of many. Relaxing outdoorscomfortably? What a novelty! After a while, people began to realize how uncomfortable it was just to sit in these hard plastic chairs. They were less comfortable than indoor chairs, with their plush cushions, with the added annoyance of sweat and heat. After a while, people realized that the solution was simple! If we add cushions to the patio furniture then they would be comfortable and practical. It is amazing how simple ideas, that are now so obvious can provide great comfort and make a significant difference to our lives. If you are not convinced, take the patio furniture cushions off your patio chairs and sit on them for one long hot day and tell me you do not disagree. Skin, sweat, and plastic or wood are not great combinations.

The companies then set to work to figure out the best way to tackle the need for patio cushions. After testing out bed pillows and cloth pillows they realized that they would need something far more durable in order to survive the harsh outside weather conditions. They then realized that with a soft plastic or a hard cloth they would be able to make pillows that would comfortably suit the outdoors and be perfect to cover those awful plastic patio furniture and chairs. After testing the product, they got great reviews for the patio cushion and they instantly became a hit. Patio pillows swept the world helping us enjoy outdoor summer activities such as barbecues, poor parties, and just plain hanging out outside. The history of the patio cushion is an interesting one and without patio cushions we would have a significantly less enjoyable summer.
